Jeanine O. Cornwell joined Sutin, Thayer & Browne in 2025. She primarily practices in commercial litigation and renewable energy.
Jeanine graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinema-Television and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a master’s degree in special education from Azusa Pacific University. After several years as a special education teacher in Hawaii, Jeanine pursued a legal career and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law. She was on the editorial staff of the University of Hawaii Law Review, and earned awards for excellence in torts, criminal justice, and legal practice.
Jeanine began her legal career in Hawaii as a Deputy Prosecutor for the City & County of Honolulu, then transitioned into private practice where she worked primarily in construction and real estate litigation. Jeanine then served as an attorney advisor for various federal agencies including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and most recently with the U.S. Department of Energy.
She is admitted to practice in New Mexico and Hawaii. In her free time, Jeanine enjoys all things health and fitness, meta-modernist film critique, frequenting theme parks, and spending time with loved ones.
