According to statistics published in the Bond Buyer, a leading
industry publication, New Mexico law firm Sutin, Thayer & Browne A
Professional Corporation was the leading New Mexico bond counsel in 2010
by a significant margin.
Sutin, Thayer & Browne’s Public Finance Group served as bond counsel in
$1.346 billion of public bond issues, compared with $504.8 million,
$343.6 million, $216.1 million and $152.2 million for the other firms in
the top five counsel engagements in New Mexico. Only Sutin and one
other of the top five firms are based in New Mexico. Sutin, Thayer
& Browne’s clients were the top three issuers in 2010: the New
Mexico Finance Authority, the New Mexico State Board of Finance, and the
New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation.
