| SARITA NAIR practices in the areas of business, water,
environmental and Indian law. She focuses on complex commercial
transactions, including those that raise challenging water and
environmental issues. Ms. Nair also advises in the areas of
nonprofit organization and governance. She serves as Secretary of
Tree New Mexico, Treasurer of Emerge New Mexico, a board of
directors member of the New Mexico Women's Bar Association and an
advisory board member of Asthma Allies. Ms. Nair received her law
degree, magna cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of
Law with the Indian Law Certificate, where she received the
Honorable Pete Domenici Award for Environmental Excellence and the
Jerrold L. Walden Memorial Award. She also holds a master's degree
in community and regional planning from the University of New Mexico
School of Architecture and Planning and a bachelor's degree from
Wesleyan University. Before joining Sutin, Thayer & Browne, Ms.
Nair served as a clerk for Judge Lynn Pickard at the New Mexico
Court of Appeals.
