The Firm has experience in advising tribes and litigating issues concerning the scope of tribal aboriginal sovereign power and rights in property and resources, federal power and obligations relating to tribes, and the scope of federal and tribal preemption of state law in Indian country.

The Firm has an active commercial law practice in Indian matters. Our experience includes negotiation and preparation of documents for commercial transactions to produce and sell agricultural products, to purchase real estate, to obtain services and the drafting of ordinances and resolutions related to these matters for adoption by a tribal council. We are experienced in representing tribal gaming enterprises.

Members of our Indian Law Group are licensed to practice before the Isleta, Acoma, Laguna and Zuni Pueblo Courts and the Courts of Jicarilla Apache, the Southern Ute Tribe and the Navajo Nation.
